Worship Team rehearsals are on
Thursdays from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
in the Worship Center

Band and Vocalist positions are by audition and interview only.

The Worship Ministries includes not only vocalists and instrumentalists, but also our Tech Team and Starving Musicians Team.

Starving Musicians: Sunday Food Team!

Our Worship Team arrives at 7:00am on Sundays and stays until about 12:30pm. The 'Starving Musicians" team, as much a part of Worship Ministries as any other team, provides a meal for ten people on a specific Sunday of the month, providing a vital source of energy and nutrition for the band, vocalists, techies and pastors. If you like to cook or cater, contact Greg Mann to inquire about becoming a part of our ministry.

Our Purpose

We highly value worship that is honoring to God and exemplifies His magnificence and attention to detail. Our goal is to meet with God and for Him to meet with us as we sing to Him as a congregation. We also desire that pre-believers see God's people express such love and reverence to Him with abandon and without shame, that they will be drawn to come to repentance and faith in Christ Jesus our Lord. We highly value congregational worship that is expressed in the manner in which God is leading each individual at any given moment. We highly value singing with all our heart, soul, mind, strength and voice to the God of all gods! We highly value God's people serving through the Worship Ministry at Highland who are truly talented in their particular area of expertise and who have the necessary spiritual giftedness and humility to serve in such a visible capacity. And we highly value the rich musical heritage of the church as expressed in today's musical styles, staying in step with what God is doing in His church through the vehicle of music. The old time gospel message is the same, only the methods and expressions change. The Worship Team's objective is be co-worshipers with the congregation, journeying with them into the presence of God through the medium of music.
